Ahhh yes.. my second PSMC Autocross..
Last year i was in Stormy.. the grey Camaro, but this time.. i was in my best lady.. my baddest girl, Vengeance.. aka Venny.
Anyways.. so the event is 3 days of cruising, autocrossing, and a little car showing.
I happen to catch the last day which was Sunday the 7th.. which also happen to be my birthday!
That morning i contemplated either going, or sitting it out being that in that morning the weather wasnt good.
It was raining a bit and one thing is that my car doesn’t have windshield wipers, or doorglass for that matter..
now.. ive driven her in TWO torrential downpours(not on purpose) and i made it through..
and hell.. it was just water.. and i just couldnt resist.
So I made the 1 hour drive..
Heres some shots from my Autocross experience.. thanks to my man Jeff Bowne for the pictures!
It was REALLY hot.. 95 or so on that blacktop.. but all the things we did to make Venny run cool(nice big aluminum radiator and big fan) really really helped.

The course was REALLY tight in some areas.. a couple outright Uturns back to back..
We had to make 2 passes in the whole course so the time out there while i was running was wonderfully long.
The LS7 was AWESOME for the tight course.. NO bogdown at all!.. combo with the ATL tank.. no shortage of power.

I got lost in the track a couple of times.. i didnt have a chance to walk the course when i got there.. but i made it though.

In the long lefthand sweeper was one of my favorites.. and seemed like a big favorite of the rest of the guys cause we ALL broke traction for a long sweep.
And im waiting for some Video to pop up.. I got one of my runs but at a far distance when i setup my tripod REALLY quickly..
So.. reflecting on the whole experience?
I need more seat time!.. also I need to take a class to strengthen my driving.
Also I really want to take her to the roadcourse next.. maybe Road Atlanta.
Either way.. it was a great experience to know Vennys good.. and bad areas and strengthen them..
I think you can really enjoy your car doing this no matter how old, how young, how insufficient you think your car is. The experience is the great teacher.. it humbles you.
so.. JOIN US NEXT TIME!!
i wanna see you out there sometime!
later.
